Take online Surveys
Online surveys are a great way to make extra cash. This won’t make you rich, but it could bring in a decent amount each month. You could use the extra cash to pay off debts or use it towards your next vacation. This is also a side hustle that doesn’t require a ton of extra work. You can fill these surveys out while your watching tv or just relaxing. Below are a few survey sites I have used myself.
- Inbox Dollars
- Survey Junkie
Drive for Uber or Lyft
For Uber you can drive people around or deliver food. I personally have not driven people, but I have done Uber Eats and it is a great way to make some extra cash. This could be a full-time gig or a side hustle you do after work or on the weekends.
Start a Blog
A blog can make you money! There are a ton of ways to monetize your blog. This takes time and work, but if you start now you can make it happen in the long run. There are a ton of resources online to help you start. Pinterest is a great place to start or try looking for a free course on a site like Udemy.
Make a list of people you know who have pets and offer your pet sitting services to them!
Sign up on a site or babysit for your friends and family. This is a great side hustle for the weekends!
Create an Etsy Shop
Etsy is a great place to sell your handmade items or collectibles. You can also sell things like craft making supplies and digital files. Etsy is a great place to start if you are looking to create and sell.
Sell your old things
Over the years I have collected way too much stuff, and some of that stuff is worth money. So, I decided to start selling some of my things on eBay and Craigslist. Once I realized that people would buy my things, I placed a few more items to sell. You could also find great items in thrift stores and resell them. You’ll have to be careful not to over buy and buy things you won’t be able to sell, then you’ll be left with more junk than you started with.
We have found a market of people who love refurbished furniture. You can find furniture pieces at secondhand stores and paint them using chalk paint. You can then sell them online on Craigslist or Offer up. This can be a great side hustle, or you can just do a few pieces to make extra cash to help pay off those pesky debts.
Sell Baked Goods
Do you have a passion for baking? Bake and sell cupcakes, cakes, and cake pops. If you plan on selling to the public be sure to investigate kitchens you can rent that are up to health code. There are people always looking for specialized cakes and desserts. Having a dessert table at a party is the new norm. If you don’t want to sell to the public, ask your friends and family if they need any baked goods.
You can offer your services on Fiverr or Upworks as a virtual assistant. I haven’t tried this myself, but I know there are people who have had success in working for someone via online. This is a great option if you want to work from home.
Sign up with Rakuten
If you do your shopping online, then make sure you are getting paid for it! Sign up with Rakuten (formerly known as ebates) and make sure you are earning money back for your purchases.
Rent a Room
Have a spare room? Rent it out or set up an Airbnb. This can bring in consistent monthly income. This is great if you are looking for a way to make passive income.
Spend a few hours on the weekend cleaning homes. I did this for a few months and earned a great amount of side income! You can offer your services to your friends and family.
Know someone who has mentioned wanting their house painted? Maybe a room they wanted painted? Offer your services! If you are good at painting, then this could be a great side hustle for you.

There are a few websites to apply to be an extra in a TV show. You can sign up and make a few extra dollars. I know some people who do this every time a show is filming in their city.
